Job Description:

As an IBP support engineer, you will provide technical support to the IBP users and Business Analyst teams in Metal Packaging EMEA

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for environment-related issues, providing troubleshooting support and resolution.
  • Collaborate with SAP support for issue resolution when necessary.
  • Second Line Application support for IBP
  • You will manage end to end patching and upgrades, including identifying the need for patches or upgrades, co-ordinating with the business analyst teams regarding scheduling and performing and unit testing associated changes. This will cover core SAP IBP, SAP CI-DS, DS-Agents, all implemented SAP IBP add-ons, including but not limited to SAP IBP Excel add-in
  • Ensuring all data integration is complete and working as expected. Ensuring that the SAP ERP extractors for IBP are in place and covering all data required. This includes SAP CI DS data pipelines to IBP. Where new data is required for IBP purposes, new data extractions are to be added, documented and unit tested.
  • Ensure any relevant SOX controls are performed and monitored.
  • Manage the promotion of changes from the development environment through testing to production, ensuring that changes are tracked and applied consistently.
  • Coordinate with development and functional teams to schedule and execute changes with minimal impact on ongoing operations.
  • Work with middleware and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) for connecting SAP IBP with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and other third-party applications.
  • Perform rigorous testing of the SAP IBP solutions and integrations to ensure they meet quality standards and functional requirements.
  • Create technical and functional documentation for the developed solutions and integrations.
  • Provide ongoing support, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution for SAP IBP and associated integrations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience working with SAP IBP and related SAP modules.
  • Proven track record of successful implementations of SAP IBP solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in SAP IBP configuration, including experience with SAP HANA, SAP Fiori, and SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and planning strategies.
  • Experience with SAP CPI or other integration platforms.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as ABAP, SQL, and scripting languages for custom development.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to document complex technical processes in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Previous experience of supporting European user groups
  • French, Spanish, Italian language skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interface with both technical teams and IT stakeholders.

Desired Certifications:

Certification in SAP IBP is highly desirable.
